Make sure when browsing secure websites on the Internet that your browser has Https: in the address bar. This makes your connection secure and you should not enter any personal information unless its a secure site. Banking sites are an example of a secure site.

Password Protect Your Computer

You can easily add a password to your user account to keep unwanted people out of your computer.

To add a password in Windows XP or Windows Vista do the following:

Click on start then control panel, make sure you are in classic view (upper left corner), then click on user accounts and click on add/change your password.

Are you tired of SPAM filling your inbox? Create a new e-mail account just for online shopping and sweepstakes…. Use your current e-mail just for e-mailing people you know. Companies sell e-mail addresses and then you will start to get a lot more mail then you were hoping for. Also check to see if those e-mails that keep coming have a unsubscribe option and take advantage of that. You will see a difference after trying this.  There is a lot of free online e-mail account websites including the ones listed below.
