Remove unused programs

Do you have a lot of programs on your computer that you dont use or have no idea what they are? Go into your add/remove programs list and remove any programs that you dont use. This will free up space as well as de-clutter your computer. To do this just click start > control panel > add/remove programs (or in vista - “programs”) and then click change/remove on the program(s) you want to get rid of.

LCD Cleaning

Keeping your LCD screen clean will ensure you are getting the best possible picture from the screen. The best way to clean your screen is to use a shame clothe. If you have some hard to remove spots you may to use a little water but do not use any kind of cleaners as they can be harmful to the screen surface.

Keep the cables inside your computer and behind your desk neat and tidy to improve airflow and keep your computer from overheating.

One easy way to clean up those wires both inside your computer and behind your desk is to use zip ties, velcro straps, or twist ties which you can purchase at your local hardware store. Use these to tie groups of cables together.

Performing a Disk Cleanup on a regular basis will help keep your system running at its best. Disk Cleanup helps by removing temporary files from your system. These files accumulate from browsing the internet or installing programs. We would recommend doing this on a weekly or monthly basis.

To perform a Disk Cleanup:

XP & Vista - Click start, then all programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup. You can then select or de-select the different items you would like to be cleaned from your computer.
