Keeping your LCD screen clean will ensure you are getting the best possible picture from the screen. The best way to clean your screen is to use a shame clothe. Couple of things to look for when buying a LCD:

Get a Display that has at least a DVI port or better.
The Higher the contrast ratio.. the better the screen.
